Roger Federer triumphs in Dubai Tennis Championships final

Roger Federer beats Tomas Berdych 3-6 6-4 6-2 to claim a record sixth Dubai Tennis Championship.

Roger Federer has claimed victory in the Dubai Tennis Championships final after beating Tomas Berdych in three sets.

Despite winning the first break in the opening set, Berdych fought back immediately before going on to win the set 6-3.

In the second set Federer produced a strong service game before breaking his opponent in the final game to make it 6-4 and level the scores.

Federer stormed ahead in the third set and broke his Czech opponent to take a 3-1 lead.

Berdych was unable to find an answer to Federer's serve as the Swiss cruised to a 6-3 win in the deciding to set, to earn a record sixth title in the Championships and his first since 2012.
