The American Bryan brothers have progressed to the men's doubles gold-medal final by ousting the French duo of Julien Benneteau and Richard Gasquet this afternoon.
The opening eight games of the match were extremely level, with neither pair offering the other a chance of a break point.
However, this all changed in the ninth when the Bryan brothers were presented with three break points, taking the second of these before serving out the set in the next.
Benneteau and Gasquet began the second in a resurgent mood by holding to-love but it was the French who again surrendered their serve in the fifth game before the Bryans went on to serve out the match 6-4 6-4.
They will battle with either David Ferrer and Feliciano Lopez of Spain or France's Michael Llodra and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga for the gold medal.
