Team GB's Tom Daley is hoping that he can win a gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games.

British diver Tom Daley has revealed that he is hoping to win gold at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

The 18-year-old recovered from a poor start to claim a bronze medal during the recent Games in London.

However, as the next Olympics coincides with his peak years, Daley has admitted that he has set himself the target of winning the top prize.

"I want to upgrade that bronze in Rio," he said. "I'd love to dominate diving but it's hard to do as it's so competitive and, as we saw in the Olympic final, it's all about diving on the day.

"But divers peak at about 22 or 23 in Rio and I'll be 22 then so gold's the goal."

Daley won gold at the European Championships earlier this year.
