Aaron Ramsey: Monaco tie "not over yet"

Aaron Ramsey believes that Arsenal can still qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League despite their 3-1 first-leg deficit to Monaco.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has insisted that his side still have a chance of reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The 3-1 defeat suffered at the hands of Monaco at the Emirates Stadium last month means that the Gunners must score three unanswered goals or more in Tuesday's return meeting in France to go through.

Despite having the odds firmly stacked against them, Ramsey has revealed that there is a belief among the Arsenal squad that they can still advance.

"We need to score goals, so we will go there and try to score three or more goals and hopefully not concede any. That's our target and that's how we will approach it," the Welshman told the club's official website.

"We had a sloppy first leg and we've made it quite difficult for ourselves but it's not over yet. We are more than capable of scoring three goals. We scored three today [against West Ham] and we believe in ourselves. We'll go into the game believing we can achieve that."

The North Londoners have not reached the last eight of the competition since 2010.
