Arsenal's Yossi Benayoun is out of action for a week following a strain picked up against Shrewsbury on Tuesday night.

Arsenal midfielder Yossi Benayoun has said that he will be out of action for "a week or so" with a strain.

The 31-year-old revealed that he had suffered the injury during the Gunners' Carling Cup win against Shrewsbury on Tuesday night.

"Very disappointed as I have a strain and will be out for a week or so," the Israeli wrote on his Twitter page.

Benayoun is likely to miss Saturday's visit of Bolton Wanderers as well as Wednesday's Champions League group match against Olympiakos.
