Per Mertesacker insists that Arsenal must be more consistent moving forward.

Per Mertesacker has said that Arsenal must be more consistent if the club want to achieve their ambitions this season.

The North London outfit are undefeated in the Premier League in over two months, but have lost two of their last three games across all competitions. While the club must continue to pick up points in the league, Mertsacker knows that Arsenal must also continue to improve in other areas.

"We are looking forward to climbing the league more and more," he told the club's official website.

"We have had a lot of pressure to get to fifth in the last month but we need more consistency, in December more than ever. Therefore I hope we can pick up a lot of points to get to the top four.

"We want more than that, of course."

Arsenal will look to continue their unbeaten run when Everton travel to the Emirates later this afternoon.
