Arsene Wenger refuses to rush transfer deals

Arsene Wenger insists that Arsenal are looking for quality rather than quantity in the transfer window.

Arsene Wenger has insisted that Arsenal will only sign quality players who will improve the squad for the forthcoming season.

The French manager has been under pressure recently due to Arsenal's lack of activity in the transfer window, with only Yaya Sanogo joining the first-team squad this summer.

Wenger told reporters: "I don't disagree that we are a bit light at the moment. We are looking to strengthen our squad.

"We're looking more for quality than for numbers. We would like two or three players, if possible more. We're looking more for quality than for numbers."

Arsenal begin their season by hosting Aston Villa tomorrow afternoon.
