Arsenal make Jackson Martinez enquiry?

Arsenal reportedly make an enquiry to Porto about Colombian striker Jackson Martinez.

Arsenal have reportedly made an enquiry to Porto about the availability of striker Jackson Martinez.

The Gunners are looking to boost their firepower this month as fears about burnout persist over Olivier Giroud, who has led the line for much of the season.

Theo Walcott was ruled out for six months with a knee injury sustained in the Gunners' 2-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup on Saturday evening.

Nicklas Bendtner is also struggling with an ankle injury and remains largely unfancied by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

According to the Daily Mail, the Premier League leaders have contacted the Portuguese club about the Colombian forward's situation.

Martinez reportedly has a release clause of around £32m.
