Arsenal target Nicolas Tagliafico 'addresses transfer speculation'

Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico - linked with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal - addresses the speculation surrounding his future.

Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico has said that while it is "great" to be mentioned in the same sentence as Barcelona, the Argentina international is solely focusing on "the present".

Tagliafico, 26, joined Ajax from Independiente in January 2018, and the left-back has contributed five goals and five assists in 34 appearances for his Dutch club during the 2018-19 campaign.

According to the South American's agent, Ricardo Schlieper, Real Madrid are considering a summer swoop, while Arsenal have also been strongly linked with a move.

Barcelona are also believed to be considering a bid, but Tagliafico has refused to look beyond the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

"I am enjoying life and football. We are privileged as footballers. Our work is something fascinating and something we love to do. I enjoy playing for the national team and my club," Tagliafico told Mundo Deportivo.

"I can't think of what's coming, that's disrespectful to my club. It's great that they (Barcelona) talk about me, because that means things are going well. But I can only focus on the present."

Tagliafico has a contract with Ajax until the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
