Arsenal could move for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin during this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin during this summer's transfer window.

The Gunners are expected to be in the market for another forward in the upcoming market despite adding Gabriel Jesus to their squad ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

Three players have hit double figures for Arsenal in all competitions this season, with Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka both on 13 goals, while Martin Odegaard has 10.

Eddie Nketiah has managed nine, while Jesus, who has only just returned from injury, has struck seven times following his arrival from Manchester City.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal are currently looking at forwards that could potentially be available for cut-price fees this summer, and Calvert-Lewin has emerged as a genuine option.

Everton are currently involved in a relegation battle in the Premier League, with the Toffees sitting 17th in the table, just one point clear of 18th-placed Leicester City.

The Toffees would lose a number of first-team players if they were relegated this season, with Calvert-Lewin among those who be looking to return to the top flight.

The 26-year-old has struggled with injuries during the 2022-23 campaign, only featuring on 12 occasions in all competitions, scoring just once for the Merseyside club.

However, the England international proved his quality during the 2020-21 season, when he found the back of the net on 21 occasions in all competitions.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is said to be a huge admirer of Calvert-Lewin, with the Spaniard viewing him as a player capable of making a big impact when fit.

A number of other Premier League clubs are also believed to be keeping a close eye on his situation ahead of the summer transfer window.

Calvert-Lewin made the move to Everton from Sheffield United in August 2016, and he has represented the Toffees on 203 occasions, scoring 59 goals and contributing 18 assists.

The Englishman missed the start of the season recovering from a knee injury, while he has been out in recent weeks with a hamstring issue, last featuring against Arsenal at the start of February.
