Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has revealed that Arsene Wenger will have the necessary funds to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window.
Wenger has seen the likes of Robin van Persie, Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas leave the club in recent years without replacing them with players of a similar value.
As a result, Hill-Wood has insisted that the French manager can recruit new players this coming winter.
"If Arsene wants to use that money during the winter window then, absolutely, he will be able to do it," Hill-Wood told reporters. "We rely on him to come up with the right people and there will be funds available to him.
"The financial results were good and we want to put that money to use if Arsene decides he wants more players but if the manager wants to reinforce the squad in January, he will be able to do that.
"I like to think that the profit shows we are running the club on the right lines."
Reports this morning have claimed that Wenger is keen on Atletico Madrid striker Falcao, who recently hinted that a move to the Premier League could interest him.
