Aston Villa are reportedly contemplating an approach for Hellas Verona forward Fabio Borini.
While Borini has previously represented four different English clubs, the Italian has spent much of his time since 2017 at Milan, contributing seven goals from 72 appearances in all competitions.
However, since penning a six-month deal at Verona in January, the 29-year-old has scored twice in six outings, helping to keep his new club in contention for European qualification.
According to L'Arena, Borini's form has led to Villa identifying him as a potential addition during the next transfer window.
Although the West Midlands outfit do not know whether they will be competing in the Premier League or Championship, Borini is seemingly regarded as a preferred target.
Crystal Palace and Fiorentina are also said to be monitoring the situation.
