Uruguay centre-back Diego Godin has insisted that his side's main focus at the World Cup this summer is to progress from the group stages.
The South American outfit have been picked as possible outsiders for the competition, but the Atletico Madrid defender has said that his nation must take it one step at a time.
"I don't see us as favourites," Godin told El Pais.
"But it's football. We only think about Costa Rica and passing the group stage, which is what we also did in South Africa in 2010."
Godin helped Atletico win La Liga and reach the Champions League final last season.
