Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has said that he is not concerned with breaking Gerd Muller's record of 85 goals in a calendar year.
The Argentine scored twice for the Blaugrana in their 3-0 win at Spartak Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday to take his tally to 80 goals in 2012.
"Muller's record? I'm not thinking about that," said Messi. "For me, the team is more important.
"We knew we had to start strongly today and try to avoid what happened at Celtic (where Barca lost 2-1).
"It wasn't easy to play on this [synthetic] pitch, but we did well. We controlled the second half really well."
The win in Russia saw Barcelona progress to the Champions League last 16 as Group G winners.
