Dani Alves: 'We can't let negativity get to us'

Dani Alves urges Barcelona to remain positive through their difficult patch of form.

Barcelona right-back Dani Alves has admitted that the club's players cannot allow two consecutive defeats to bring negative thoughts to the pitch.

Fans of Barca threw things onto the pitch following the 1-0 defeat to Athletic Bilbao on Sunday, but Alves does not think the time is right to panic.

"We cannot doubt the work we are doing," he told El Mundo Deportivo.

"If you worry about what is coming from the outside then you are lost. If doubts are left out we will continue to the top.

"The major thing is that [the negativity] should not affect the squad. We are alone. If we lose it's news all day. And if we lose twice rockets are thrown everywhere."

Barca also lost in the Champions League to Ajax.
