Neymar: 'I'm still the same player'

Neymar says that he has not been forced to change his normal style to adapt to his role with Barcelona.

Barcelona striker Neymar has insisted that he has not been forced to change his normal style to adapt to his new club.

The 21-year-old, who joined the Catalan outfit from Santos in the summer, has operated in a wide left position in the early part of the La Liga season.

"I continue to be the same, playing the same football and at the moment everything is working out fine," Neymar told reporters while on international duty with Brazil.

"When we made this decision [to move to Barca], we never knew if it was going to be a hit. It depends on you. Regardless of playing in Brazil or Europe, I wanted to evolve.

"The Ballon d'Or? That is one thing I do not worry about. What I want is to play the same football and help my teammates both at Barcelona and at the Brazilian national team."

Neymar has scored three goals and registered six assists in his 11 Barcelona appearances this season.
