Celta Vigo president Carlos Mourino has hinted that Spanish forward Nolito will soon sign a new contract at the La Liga club.
The 28-year-old hit 13 goals and 13 assists in Spain's top flight last season, with his form leading to suggestions that Barcelona were preparing a move.
Such talk has grown after the Catalan outfit allowed Pedro to leave last week, but Celta have thus far rejected all talk of a departure.
On Tuesday, Celta boss Eduardo Berizzo claimed that he was confident that the attacker would remain in Vigo this summer, and those words have now been strengthened by the club's president.
"He is very calm and excited thinking we can reach Europe. There'll be an adjustment to his contract and we're happy to get rid of the €18m (£13m) clause. The idea is to extend his contract for more years and increase the clause," Mourino is quoted as saying by Faro de Vigo.
Nolito has previously admitted that he would be interested in moving to Camp Nou this summer.
