Everton manager Roberto Martinez is reportedly eager to bolster his defensive ranks during the January transfer window by securing the loan services of Barcelona full-back Douglas.
The 24-year-old arrived at Camp Nou on a five-year deal from Sao Paulo in the summer, but injuries and a loss of form have resulted in the defender finding it difficult to force his way into Luis Enrique's starting lineup.
That has alerted Martinez, who will launch a loan bid for the right-back in the near future, according to a report in Spain, claims talkSPORT.
It is believed that Martinez has a good relationship with the Catalan club, having taken winger Gerard Deulofeu on a year-long deal last term.
