Birmingham City 2-2 Derby County

Derby County come from two goals down to salvage a point at Birmingham this afternoon.

Derby County salvaged a surprise point by coming behind from two goals down at St Andrews this afternoon.

Goals from Eric Huseklepp and Marlon King looked set to hand the home side victory, only for the Rams to strike twice in quick succession to claw the game level.

The home side began impressively and were ahead after 18 minutes when new loan signing Huseklepp turned home fellow loanee Andros Townsend's deflected shot.

Townsend provided a constant threat throughout and two minutes before the break, his corner was headed against the bar by Huseklepp as the Blues searched for a second.

Chris Hughton's men continued their dominance after the interval almost made it two after 48 minutes when Huseklepp's flicked header was saved by Frank Fielding before Townsend saw his follow-up effort blocked on the line.

The lead was doubled nine minutes later when Townsend broke clear and teed up King to slot home.

Derby responded instantly and substitute Ben Davies crossed for namesake Steve to head past Boaz Myhill.

Five minutes later the scores were level when Robinson beat the offside trap and swivelled before firing low into the net.

A point apiece sees both sides drop a place, with Birmingham falling to sixth while Derby go 16th.
