The match between Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham City has reached half time without the deadlock being broken at Ewood Park.
Blackburn should have taken the lead after six minutes after good work from Jordan Rhodes set up Corry Evans, but the Northern Ireland international missed his kick from six yards out.
Birmingham, who have won just one of their last 11 games, quickly moved the ball up the other end to play Clayton Donaldson through on goal, but he could only poke the ball wide of the post.
Donaldson was proving to be a constant menace to the Blackburn defence but he twice failed to convert a header after some fine approach play from David Cotterill.
Paul Caddis was the next Birmingham player to try his luck, with only the reflexes of Jason Steele keeping Rovers on level terms.
Jordan Rhodes, who hasn't scored in his last four matches, gradually began to be a threat to the visitors' defence but he was being well marshalled in and around the penalty area.
Paul Robinson sent a header wide for Birmingham just before the break, but the Blues will be content with their first-half performance in the North-West.
