Out-of-form Bolton Wanders were in search of their first league victory of the season when they travelled the 19 miles up the A666 to face Blackburn Rovers.

They're still after that victory after being thumped by Rovers at Ewood and now sit rockbottom because of their inferior goal difference.

Read how it all unfolded in our minute-by-minute updates below.

Afternoon folks! We have a full fixture card in the Championship today and our feature match at 3pm is the Lancashire derby between Blackburn and Bolton.

Just 19 miles separates the two grounds and there's bound to be a great atmosphere. Here comes the team news...

BLACKBURN XI: Kean; Kane, Dann, Hanley, Spurr; Lowe, Cairney, Marshall, Dunn, King; Rhodes

BOLTON XI: Bogdan; Mears, Knight, Wheater, Baptiste; Medo, Spearing, Pratley; Chung-Yong, Ngog, Beckford

Thats one change for Rovers with Ben Marshall making his debut, Alan Judge dropping to the bench.

Bolton, meanwhile, make a pair of changes to the side that lost to QPR last week, with Darren Pratley returning from suspension for Tim Ream and Tyrone Mears in for Marc Tierney.

REFEREE WATCH! The man in charge today is Keith Stroud.

PREDICTION TIME! Just 10 minutes until KO at Ewood so it's time for my match prediction. I'm going to pick the home side but I think it will be a close one. 2-1 to the hosts.

Here come the two sides out of the tunnel. Bolton are in their 'infrared' away kit while Blackburn are in their home colours of blue and white.

The cameras focus on Marshall, it's certainly a big afternoon for the winger after making the move to Lancashire just a couple of days ago.

The first shot of the day comes from Cairney from the edge of the area. It's blocked on its way through though and doesn't trouble Bogdan.

Brilliant play by King down the left as the former Manchester United man races away from multiple orange shirts before cutting the ball back into the area. It doesn't pick out a teammate though and Bolton clear.

UPDATE: A couple of early goals in the second tier as Barnsley go ahead against Huddersfield through Chris O'Grady before Andy Reid continues his and Forest's fine form by putting the visitors ahead at Wigan.

Back to Ewood and coming up to the 10-minute mark you have to say that it's been Blackburn who have shown more attacking intensity so far.

Again good from the visitors in the build-up as Pratley slid in Beckford but the striker let himself down with an overhit cross from the right of the area.

UPDATE: Troy Deeney has just had a Watford penalty saved at Blackpool while Danny Ings gives Burnley the lead at Derby.

Those two openings for Beckford have been all that Bolton hav really offered. Blackburn again on top now.

King digs out a cross that Rhodes rises to meet but it's a little too high for last season's top scorer and he can't get enough on the header.

Bolton gift the ball to Rhodes who runs at the visiting defence but can't get off a good shot and it's easy for Bogdan.

CHANCE! A cross comes in from the left and Rhodes isn't expecting Wheater to miss it and is taken by surprise when the ball pings off his head and over the bar.

GOAL! BLACKBURN 1-0 BOLTON (DUNN)

Lovely goal, this. King scampers down the left before squaring for Dunn who rides a couple of challenges before feinting past another man and then calmly sliding the ball past Bogdan.

GOAL! BLACKBURN 2-0 BOLTON (RHODES)

Goodness me, two goals in two minutes! This time Dunn is the provider, playing it forward to Rhodes who nutmegs Knight before coolly slotting into the corner from the edge of the box.

What must be going through Dougie Freedman's head? His side came within a whisker of making the playoffs last season but they've started this campaign horribly. They came into this game without a win and looks like they'll still be searching come the end of this one.

OFF THE POST! Oh so close to three for the home side as Dunn lays it off for Marshall who curls for the far corner. Bogdan gets a fingertip to it and it's enough to divert it onto the inside of the post. The ball comes back out and Bolton survive. Almost a debut goal for Marshall!

Free kick for Bolton right on the edge of the box as King bundles into Ngog. It's right of centre but a good chance to at least test Kean...

Mears instead looks for a man at the back post and it's cleared by Rovers.

UPDATE: As we approach half time there's been a couple more goals elsewhere with Wednesday going ahead against Boro and Burnley doubling their lead at Derby.

FINE SAVE! Rhodes almost has his second, letting the ball slide across his body before firing towards the top corner with his left peg. It was some hit by the striker but brilliantly pushed over by Bogdan's strong right hand.

GOAL! BLACKBURN 2-1 BOLTON (BAPTISTE)

They don't really deserve it, but Bolton have a goal back right on the stroke of half time. A period of pressure from the visitors ended when Spearing played in Baptiste who did the opposite of a 'defender's finish' with a superb left-foot wallop into the top corner. Game on!

HALF TIME: Blackburn 2-1 Bolton

An entertaining first half at Ewood where Bolton are lucky to just be the one goal behind.

Blackburn went two ahead through Dunn's fine solo effort and Rhodes's assured finish before Baptiste's lash into the top corner just before the whistle gave Bolton a lifeline.

Going up a division it's a bit of a snorefest in the Premier League this afternoon with all four 3pm kickoffs goalless. Find all our half-time reports from both the Premier League and Championship by clicking here.

STAT ATTACK! Bolton have surprisingly edged the possession (52%) but have had four shots to Blackburn's seven. Rovers also hit the post and had one brilliantly kept out by Bogdan.

Teams out for the second half and there's been no changes made by either gaffer.

KICKOFF! We're back underway at Ewood.

Blackburn have sprung out of the blocks at the start of the second period and look very threatening.

Lee flicks the ball inside for Baptiste but that is much more of a defender's finish from the number 15 as he fails to replicate his first-half accuracy with a wild slicing shot.

Fantastic ball over the top from Spearing picks out Beckford's run but again it's poor from the summer signing as he decides to go with his left and timidly puts it wide.

OFF THE LINE! It's all Bolton now and they've just come ever so close as Ngog bursts down the pitch before twisting and turning about four times before prodding for the far corner where Spurr is there to clear off the line. The former Liverpool man had support and could have laid it off for a teammate but went alone.

YELLOW! The first man into referee Stroud's book is Hanley for cynically bringing down Lee.

BOLTON SUB: Freedman makes a change by bringing on Chris Eagles for Pratley. A welcome sight for the Trotters to see Eagles return from injury.

UPDATE: Millwall take the lead at Brighton while it's now 1-1 as Boro equalise against Wednesday.

SUBS: Both managers make a change, with Andre Moritz on for Ngog for the visitors and Corry Evans taking the place of the excellent Dunn for Rovers.

You have to congratulate Bolton for not completely slumping after that poor first 44 minutes. They managed to get one back and since then they've looked very capable of equalising.

JUST WIDE! And they almost do as Lee causes Kane plenty of problems down the Bolton left before teeing up Spearing whose shot squirms under the body of a sprawling defender before skidding just past the post.

UPDATE: Both Huddersfield and Leicester pull one goal back against Barnsley and Charlton respectively to make it 2-1.

BLACKBURN SUB: Marshall's debut comes to an end as he is taken off for Chris Taylor.

GOAL! BLACKBURN 3-1 BOLTON (EVANS)

GOOOLLLLLAZZZZZOOO! What a hit from the substitute!

Blackburn pile on the pressure but they can't get a good shot away until the ball is hooked clear and Evans, on his home debut, just takes it on full on the volley. Replays show that it actually took a slight deflection, but it was still great technique.

Not so clever from Rhodes as he decides to take a through-ball on when he was offside instead of leaving it for Taylor, who would have been fine.

UPDATE: Burnley have had a great start to the season and it's continuing as they go three up at Derby while Reading break the deadlock against Yeovil through Adam Le Fondre's spot kick.

BOLTON SUB: The visitors roll the dice one last time as Craig Davies comes on for Medo.

CLOSE! King has a pair of shots inside a couple of minutes. First he fizzed a low drive just wide of the post before blazing one high over the bar.

GOAL! BLACKBURN 4-1 BOLTON (RHODES)

That's the game sewn up as Taylor blocks a clearance on the right and keeps the ball in on the byline by crossing to an unmarked Rhodes to tap home from a few yards.

BLACKBURN SUB: Bowyer makes his final change of the afternoon by bringing on Morris for King.

Bolton are understandably piling numbers forward and Blackburn should have had a chance to get five on the break but Rhodes managed to hit the one defender with his pass.

YELLOW! Davies is cautioned for a very soft push on Morris. Very harsh on the substitute.

FIVE more minutes of pain for Bolton. All of Blackburn's passes are being cheered on by the home fans now.

Hilarious end to Blackburn's run of passes as Taylor nudges the ball off for Lowe who skews his shot horribly.

YELLOW! Moritz is booked for a careless foul.

Cairney's audacious chip from outside the box almost catches out Bogdan. Seconds left...

FULL TIME: BLACKBURN 4-1 BOLTON

It's back-to-back home wins for Blackburn as they thrash neighbours Bolton at Ewood. The visitors are still without a win this season and now sit BOTTOM of the table as it stands.
