Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman has admitted that his players are lacking in confidence following their poor start to the season.
The Trotters are currently bottom of the Championship table after taking three points from their first eight games.
"At the moment it is difficult for everybody involved at the club," Freedman told the Bolton News. "We have to start winning football matches which will breed confidence.
"We are lacking in confidence and we need to go back to basics. We are slipping over in certain matches but we are certainly not falling down."
Bolton have the chance to record their first win of the campaign on Saturday when they host fellow strugglers Yeovil Town.
