Report: Barcelona to open Mats Hummels talks

A report claims that Borrusia Dortmund will allow Mats Hummels to discuss a move to Barcelona next summer.

Borussia Dortmund will reportedly allow Mats Hummels to discuss a possible move to Barcelona next summer.

The 24-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the best centre-backs in Europe, has long been linked with a move away from the Champions League finalists.

According to Bild, Barcelona have been granted permission to open talks with the German international next summer, should Dortmund receive a suitable offer.

The news is expected to alert the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United, who have both been linked with a move for the powerful defender.
