Bristol City manager Derek McIness has insisted that the club have yet to receive a bid for striker Nicky Maynard.
Wolverhampton Wanderers had reportedly offered £1.5m for the former Crewe frontman, while Ipswich Town, Leicester City and Queens Park Rangers are all said to be interested.
However, McIness has dismissed the speculation, claiming that he wants to keep the 25-year-old at Ashton Gate.
"There is no truth in these rumours," McInnes told the Bristol Evening Post. "As things stand, we have still not received a single bid for Nicky Maynard.
"Players like him are few and far between and, of course, I want to keep him here if I can.
"I cannot control what other people do, but Nicky is a very good player and I want to work with good players."
Maynard scored the winner as the Robins defeated Millwall 1-0 last night.
