UEFA launch an investigation into Celtic following the lighting of fireworks during their Champions League clash against Cliftonville.

UEFA have announced that they have launched an investigation into Celtic following the setting off of fireworks during their Champions League qualifier against Cliftonville.

The Scottish Premier League winners secured their place into the third qualifying round following a 2-0 victory - 5-0 on aggregate - on Tuesday.

The European governing body have confirmed that Celtic have allegedly breached articles 16.2 of UEFA's disciplinary code due to the lighting of fireworks by supporters.

Celtic are due to face Elfsborg in the next round.
