Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Chelsea will be looking to make it four straight wins in all competitions when they continue their Premier League campaign at home to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues thumped Barrow 5-0 in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night to breeze into the fourth round of the competition, while they have won their last two in the league against Bournemouth and West Ham United.

A strong start to the campaign has seen Enzo Maresca's side pick up 10 points from their opening five league matches to sit sixth in the table, three points behind the leaders Manchester City.

James has suffered a setback in his recovery from his latest hamstring problem, and Maresca recently admitted that he was unsure when the club captain would be available for selection.

Possible return date: September 28 (vs. Brighton)

Lavia has now missed Chelsea's last six matches in all competitions with a hamstring problem, but the central midfielder is being backed to return to the squad for the clash with Brighton.
