Team GB defender Ryan Bertrand has revealed that he will be hoping to impress England manager Roy Hodgson during the Olympics.
The Chelsea player has said that he is treating the Olympics as another step in his international career, in the hope that an England call-up will be next.
Hodgson is rumoured to be attending Team GB's game against United Arab Emirates at Wembley on Sunday.
"My ambition for this season is to try and get a few games for Chelsea," said Bertrand.
"But GB is another step in my international career,
"Eventually, I hope to get an opportunity with England, so having Roy Hodgson at the game cannot be a bad thing."
Bertrand joined Chelsea as a youth player in 2005 from Gillingham.
