Gary Cahill looking forward to Manchester City test

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill admits that tonight's match against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium will be a tough test.

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has admitted that tonight's match against Manchester City away from home will be a tough test for his side.

City have been in impressive form at home so far this season, winning every single match at the Etihad Stadium in the league.

Another win tonight would send Manuel Pellegrini's side back to the top of the table and six points clear of Chelsea, but Cahill does not believe that the match is a must-win for the London side.

"It's going to be a tough test for us today but it's one we are looking forward to. I'm sure it's going to be a great game for the neutral with two strong sides both looking to get a positive result," Cahill told reporters before the game.

"We've gone about our business quite quietly this season and we've got ourselves into a decent position in the league and if we are on the end of the right result today it would lower the gap between us, but it's not the be all and end all."
