A report claims that Cesc Fabregas will be dropped to the bench for the visit of Arsenal next weekend, as Chelsea boss Antonio Conte favours a powerful midfield.

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas will reportedly be the big victim of manager Antonio Conte's tinkering for next weekend's Premier League visit of Arsenal.

The Spain international has featured in the Blues' three most recent outings since returning from an early-season suspension, including the full 90 minutes against Qarabag in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

According to The Telegraph, however, Conte is likely to bring Tiemoue Bakayoko into his first-team fold after easing him into life at Stamford Bridge, while Eden Hazard is also ready to feature after a 30-minute cameo from the bench in midweek.

Conte is said to favour a powerful midfield of Bakayoko and N'Golo Kante for the London derby showdown with Arsenal, with David Luiz and Alvaro Morata also being welcomed back at either end of the field.

Fabregas, who has featured four times this term, came off the bench to score against Arsenal when the sides last met in West London seven months ago.
