Diego Costa has revealed that he is "very happy" to be returning to Atletico Madrid after sealing a £48.4m switch from Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
The former Chelsea forward, whose relationship with Blues coach Antonio Conte deteriorated in the summer before Costa travelled home to Brazil, has secured a second spell with the Spanish side.
The deal, which could include a further £8.8m in add-ons, will see Costa play for Atletico in January once the side's current transfer ban expires.
"I am very happy to return to my home. I have always said Atletico is my home, I am very, very, very happy," Costa told the club's official website.
"I have a lot of desire to start contributing. I will give everything for the team, as I always try to do.
"The effort that has been made, Miguel Angel Gil (Atletico chief executive) in particular, and the whole club to make this happen, I am very grateful to everyone."
Atletico face Chelsea at the Wanda Metropolitano in the Champions League on Wednesday looking for a first win of the group stages following a draw to Roma two weeks ago.
