Andriy Shevchenko is ready to make a return to Chelsea to work under Roman Abramovich, according to current club Dynamo Kiev.
The 35-year-old is thought to be considering his future following his retirement from international football.
However, Kiev president Rezo Chokhonelidze has claimed that he will move back to Stamford Bridge in some capacity.
"Shevchenko will do something under his good friend Roman Abramovich," he told TMW.
Shevchenko famously failed to make an impact with the Blues as a player after a £30m move from AC Milan.
