Mamadou Sakho: 'We have to focus on ourselves'

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho insists that his side can only focus on themselves in the final week of the season in the fight for their first top-flight title in 24 years.

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho believes that his side should only focus on their own performances rather than on other results.

The Reds' defeat to Chelsea last week along with Manchester City's victory over Crystal Palace took the title race out of the hands of Brendan Rodgers's side.

City moved to the top of the Premier League following their win over Everton on Saturday, but the Frenchman has insisted that he and his teammates can't get distracted.

He told the club's official website: "I think that we have to concentrate on our own job. After the season ends we can look at everyone else's results.

"For now we need to remain focused on our job, do our own work, and for the moment not look at anything else."

Liverpool could drop to third in table before they play Palace on Monday.
