Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger reportedly remains committed to the club, in spite of the fact that talks over a new deal are yet to be opened.
The Germany international was nothing more than a bit-part player during the first half of the 2020-21 campaign under Frank Lampard, but he was handed a new lease of life under Thomas Tuchel.
Rudiger played every minute of the Champions League knockout stages as Chelsea lifted the prestigious European trophy, but he only has 12 months left to run on his Stamford Bridge deal.
According to Sky Sports News, the Blues have not opened discussions over a contract extension, but Rudiger has informed Tuchel of his desire to remain at the club next season.
The report claims that clubs in the Premier League and across Europe are keeping a close eye on developments, though, and the former Roma man will be happy to leave as a free agent next year if a new deal cannot be agreed.
Rudiger has started both of Germany's Euro 2020 games so far and should keep his place when Die Mannschaft take on Hungary in their final group game on Wednesday.
