Champions League winners Chelsea are reportedly considering a potential swap deal that would see Kurt Zouma leave the club in exchange for Roma's Gianluca Mancini.
The Blues are keen to bolster their squad this summer, as they aim to challenge for the Premier League title, and a central defender is one position they will look to target.
Roma, meanwhile, are hoping to raise funds from player sales and Mancini is one name who could be shown the exit door.
According to Il Romanista, Chelsea are interested in signing the 25-year-old, who has three years remaining on his current contract.
Roma value Mancini at around £27m, though Blues director Marina Granovskaia is hoping to land the defender for less and is even willing to negotiate a swap deal with another player.
Frenchman Zouma is understood to be the most likely player used in any potential trade with Mancini, as well as an added cash bonuses.
Zouma made 36 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, scoring five times in the Premier League, though he only featured once in the knockout stages of the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel.
