Chelsea, Fiorentina lawyers 'clashing over Mohamed Salah Roma move'

Chelsea lawyers are locked in talks with Fiorentina and Roma over the transfer of Mohamed Salah, according to reports.

Chelsea lawyers are negotiating a settlement with Fiorentina and Roma over the failed transfer of Mohamed Salah, according to reports.

The 23-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at the Artemio Franchi and scored nine goals to help the Viola reach the semi-finals of the Europa League and secure a top-four finish in Serie A.

Since then, however, he is said to have snubbed a permanent move to Florence and has instead entered talks with the Giallorossi, prompting Viola lawyers to demand compensation from Chelsea.

Remy Abbas, Salah's lawyer, is quoted by laroma24.it as saying: "Fiorentina have no foundation for their demands, even if I know they are talking to Chelsea lawyers.

"There is absolutely no problem and we are continuing negotiations with the Giallorossi. First Fiorentina signed the contract agreeing the lad could leave if he wanted to, then changed their minds."

Salah began his career at El Mokawloon in 2010 before moving to Swiss club Basel two years later and eventually switching to Stamford Bridge two years after that.
