Eden Hazard close to signing £200,000-a-week contract?

Chelsea's Eden Hazard is reportedly close to signing a new £200,000-a-week contract.

Eden Hazard has reportedly moved a step closer to signing a new deal with Chelsea worth £200,000 a week.

The 23-year-old has been one of the club's key players since moving to Stamford Bridge from Lille in 2012, but he has been repeatedly linked with moves to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain over the past couple of years.

However, Hazard appears to be ready to put any speculation to bed by agreeing to extend his stay with the Premier League leaders.

According to The Telegraph, negotiations over a new contract started three months ago, but progress has been made this week.

The five-year deal would make Hazard the highest-paid player at the club, and there could be an official announcement made before Christmas.
