Leicester City's Andrej Kramaric reveals Chelsea rejection

Andrej Kramaric explains why he decided to sign for Leicester City ahead of Jose Mourinho's Chelsea.

Andrej Kramaric has revealed that he rejected the opportunity to sign for Chelsea prior to completing his move to Leicester City.

The Foxes confirmed the arrival of the Croatian striker from HNK Rijeka earlier this month for a reported £9m.

However, the 23-year-old has admitted that he also had the option to join the Premier League leaders, but he felt that a switch to Leicester represented the "best way for [his] career right now".

"Chelsea were interested in me too, but I chose Leicester because I think it is the best way for my career right now. I am not sure I would have played at Chelsea," he told the Leicester Mercury.

Kramaric made his Leicester debut during Saturday's 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Stoke City.
