West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino is hopeful that he can finish the season "strongly" in order to lead the England Under-21s to European glory in the summer.
The 21-year-old is expected to travel to the Czech Republic with Gareth Southgate's squad for the U21 European Championships in June.
Berahino is yet to be capped at senior level after failing to make an appearance during England's Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia and the friendly against Scotland last year.
While Berahino is hopeful of breaking into Roy Hodgson's side in the future, the forward is solely focused on performing for the Young Lions.
"For the moment, I am just focused on making the England U21 squad, having a good summer and making sure we win that tournament," Berahino told Sky Sports News.
"It's a great opportunity for all the lads who will be involved in the U21s and that's one of the reasons I want to finish the season strongly."
Berahino has scored 18 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions for the Baggies this season.
