Ben Foster happy to play second fiddle to England's Joe Hart

West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Ben Foster says that he has no problem playing second fiddle to Joe Hart in the England team.

West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Ben Foster has insisted that he has no problems acting as backup to England number one goalkeeper Joe Hart.

The 31-year-old is expected to be named in Roy Hodgson's Three Lions squad for the World Cup in Brazil, but could struggle to get into the team this summer with Hart available.

"I think Joe Hart should be number one," Foster told Sky Sports News. "God forbid he gets injured - he is a fantastic goalkeeper and we are lucky to have someone like him.

"I get to see him close up in training and he is brilliant, fantastic. I don't think there are any worries on that front.

"For me it is going to be a real honour to be involved in a World Cup squad - I have never been involved in a major tournament. If I get the call I am really going to be looking forward to it."

Foster came out of international retirement a year ago.
