Roberto Martinez: 'Everton confidence is low after Hull City defeat'

Everton manager Roberto Martinez says that his side are low on confidence after a fourth straight defeat.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has said that his side must start winning games again if they are to get rid of their low confidence, after they suffered a fourth defeat in a row at Hull City.

Goals by Ahmed Elmohamady and Nikica Jelavic condemned the Toffees to defeat, and Martinez has admitted that their current run of form is not acceptable for the football club.

He told BBC Radio 5 live: "This is a challenging time but we need to look forward to the second half of the season. But clearly the performance today, after letting the goal in, was not up to the standards we expect. There's no panic but we're not happy.

"As a football club we can never accept the run of results that we've had. We're a football club that will find solutions and we'll try to bounce back straight away."

Everton sit 13th in the Premier League table and next face Manchester City.
