Everton manager David Moyes is planning to act quickly in the transfer market this summer in a bid to push the Toffees to the next level.
Moyes's transfer activities at Goodison Park have been limited in recent years due to the limited funds available, but the Scot is hoping to add more fresh faces after capturing Nikica Jelavic and Darren Gibson in January.
"If you can add a couple of players every year it enhances your squad, it keeps you moving in the right direction and the idea would be to do something similar. And that would be the way to keep going forward," said Moyes
"We're in a position where a lot of clubs have spent to be in a position where we are. We didn't spend to finish to finish above the teams above us because we didn't spend anything."
Everton are currently seventh in the Premier League table, two points clear of Merseyside rivals Liverpool.
