Fulham boss Martin Jol has revealed that he recently turned down an offer to manage a "top European club".
The Dutchman's position at Craven Cottage is said to be unstable following a poor start to the season, which has seen the club take just four points from six games.
"I had an offer from a top European club last week, but I want to succeed here," Jol told reporters. "I get my offers, but I don't want to say who [from]."
"There might be better managers, but I have the feeling I am still the man for this job.
"I like the club and especially the people who work for us and the players. I'm not someone who wants to escape all of the time."
Jol has taken charge of 105 matches during his spell as Fulham boss, guiding his team to victory on 36 occasions, overseeing 28 draws and suffering 41 defeats.
