Fulham manager Martin Jol has hinted that a deal for Aston Villa striker Darren Bent could be done this week.
The former England striker has been linked with Fulham as well as Newcastle United throughout the summer.
Now the Cottagers boss has admitted that there is interest.
"We don't speculate on things that aren't 100%," the Birmingham Mail quotes Jol as saying.
"With Darren Bent, hopefully I can tell you something by the end of the week."
Fulham are thought to have offered around £5m for the 29-year-old.
