Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy had praised the impact of the players that were introduced to his starting lineup for the 2-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday.
McCarthy made five alterations after witnessing his side win just once since the turn of the year, and after seeing his players fight back to record three points at Portman Road, the Yorkshireman admitted that his team must now maintain their level of performance.
Th 56-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "We scored two good headers and we absolutely deserved the win. It would have been a travesty if we had not got the points. It is now about maintaining it and doing it again on Saturday.
"The lads on the periphery have supported the side and if you don't give them a chance when we have won only once, when will they get their chance? They came in tonight and did really well."
The win leaves Ipswich five points behind leaders Middlesbrough in the Championship table.
