Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella has said that Serie A still serves up "spectacular football" despite the exit of several high-profile players from the league.
Juve legend Alessandro Del Piero ended his 19-year association with the club when he signed for Australian side Sydney FC last summer, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva both left AC Milan for Ligue 1's Paris Saint-Germain at the same time.
However, Quagliarella believes that the competition still showcases a very high standard of football despite the departures.
"Important figures like Del Piero, Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva may have departed," he told the club's official website.
"But it's great to see teams like Napoli, Fiorentina and Roma all proving capable of playing spectacular football on the pitch. It's a strange league."
Juventus are currently top of Serie A, leading second-placed Napoli by nine points.
