Sporting Lisbon midfielder Adrien Silva has claimed that he has decided to join Leicester City.
Premier League clubs have until Wednesday to complete transfers before the summer window slams shut.
It is believed that the reigning English champions have been discussing a £21m deal with Sporting for the midfielder, who was part of the Portugal squad that won Euro 2016 earlier this summer.
The Foxes have not confirmed the deal, but Silva himself has claimed that he is on the verge of making a switch to the King Power Stadium.
"Yes, I confirm this proposal," Silva told O Jogo. "Leicester is very interesting and corresponds to my career goals.
"After the past 15 years at Sporting, this opportunity is something exceptional for me and can allow me to express and impose myself in another championship, and also to evolve in the Premier League, which is a stunning league. I love Sporting as a family and I dedicated myself to the club since I was 12 years old.
"With Sporting I lived many moments of happiness. I can say that I grew up with the club. At 27 years old, and after so many years of loyalty, I think that no one will criticise me for wanting to embrace this challenge."
Leicester won their first league game of the season at the weekend when they sealed a 2-1 triumph over Swansea City.
