Adam Lallana talks up top-four finish for Liverpool

Adam Lallana talks up a top-four finish for Liverpool this season.

Adam Lallana has talked up Liverpool's ambitions for the current campaign and revealed that a top-four finish and a trophy is the aim for the whole squad.

The Reds reached the semi-finals of both domestic cup competitions last term but finished the campaign in disappointing style as they eventually slipped to a sixth-place finish, and Lallana is eyeing an improvement this term.

"Our aim this season is to try and win a trophy and finish in the top four. It's always massive pressure playing for a club like Liverpool," Lallana told the club's official website.

"To be playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world, with the fanbase it has, it's massive. There's always pressure, but you know, it is a good pressure."

Liverpool continue their domestic campaign with a visit from Bournemouth on Monday.
