Iago Aspas: 'Liverpool can Premier League'

Liverpool striker Iago Aspas believes that the Reds should be thought of as title contenders this season.

Liverpool striker Iago Aspas believes that he and his teammates can win the Premier League this season.

The Reds are the only team in the division with a 100% record after winning their first three games 1-0.

Aspas, a £7.7m summer signing from Celta Vigo, feels that they have the quality to become champions.

"It is certainly not madness to aspire to winning the title this season," The People quotes Aspas as saying.

"We have an excellent attack. With Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez we are able to break any defence.

"I am still at the stage where I am adapting in Liverpool to the clothes and the food. I always dreamed of playing for a big club, and Liverpool are known all over the world."

Brendan Rodgers's side travel to face Swansea City on Monday.
