Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp: 'My new glasses make me look like a serial killer'

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp jokes that his new glasses make him look like a "serial killer".

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has joked that his new pair of glasses make him look "a bit like a serial killer".

The German coach required a new set after Christian Benteke accidentally broke them during a manic goal celebration against Norwich City at the weekend.

Klopp's specs were knocked off his head when he joined in with the team after Adam Lallana scored in injury time during a dramatic 5-4 victory at Carrow Road.

When Klopp showed off his new glasses in Monday's press conference ahead of Tuesday night's semi-final second leg against Stoke City in the Capital One Cup at Anfield, he told reporters: "Now I have to be careful! I look a little bit like a serial killer."

When referring to the game itself, Klopp said: "I never heard about second place in Carling Cup, but winning is only a possibility if you make it. You're remembered if you win it, but tomorrow is only one target - go to the final.

"It's football. You should not waste opportunities of winning something. I know for the players it's really important. They want to go to the final. That's pretty cool. Hopefully I can come with them."

In the Premier League, Liverpool are seventh in the table.
