Liverpool's new signing Sadio Mane has revealed that he snubbed interest from other clubs in order to join the Merseyside outfit.
The 24-year-old's reported £30m transfer to Anfield from Southampton was confirmed on Tuesday.
The Senegal international, who was previously linked to Manchester United, has suggested that manager Jurgen Klopp was a major reason behind his decision to join the Reds.
"I knew Liverpool were interested in me," Mane told the club's official website. "I had some [other] opportunities, but I think for me this is the right club, the right coach and the right moment to change.
"I am very happy to be a part of Liverpool Football Club. [Klopp] said he wanted me to come to play for Liverpool.
"I didn't even have to ask myself, I said straight away, 'Yes, I am interested' because I know Liverpool. I am convinced Liverpool are the right club for me with the right coach."
Mane - Klopp's fourth signing following the arrivals of Marko Grujic, Joel Matip and Loris Karius - scored 25 goals in 75 appearances in all competitions during a two-year spell at Southampton.
